tomato season

Bria and I had a very successful shopping day. I'm SO glad that I work for my favorite store (and therefore get the most out of my discount). We picked up these amazing comfy warm sweaters from Banana Republic, and a cute purple hoodie from Gap along with some basic tanks. San Francisco's weather has been so strange lately, I think it's smart to invest in layers.

Bria brought over all the "leftovers" she had in her fridge/apartment and totally made my day - milk, eggs, tomatoes, an avocado, amazing stir fry sauces, frozen veggies, teas, and all kinds of other goodies. I wanted to use the perishables first, so I went to 101 Cookbooks, made a shopping list, and went to Real Foods (aka, Real Expensive, but it's close and always has what I'm looking for in the exotic/weird/healthy department).

The menu for the rest of the week? TLT Sandwich recipe (marinated tempeh, roasted tomato, lettuce, and avocado) and Lentil Soup, which should reheat really nicely. The tomatoes are roasting as we speak. If they taste half as good as the pictures look, I'll be happy!

Giants game pictures, as promised:
